    Visiting a few family members in Statesville. This place had excellent customer service. We had over 15 people in our party and all of our drinks stayed filled and most of our orders were accurate

    A real Southern comfort, along with, like sitting on the dock of the bay restaurant. From entering the restaurant you are giving a real warm Southern hospitality hello and you're welcomed with a great big smile. Our sweet waitress was Ivy, a real sweet young lady with real southern hospitality. Our dinner party size was ten, all family. We arrived in Statesville for the Turner family reunion. So much history here. She made sure we had all of our drink orders in and once we gave her our dinner order, she made sure we all received our dinner all at once. The food came out nice and hot and it was very good. Everything was cooked to perfection. Tasted great, no complaints, just a lot of food, fellowship and fun.

    It was awful. The food was awful. The preparation was awful--microwaved frozen fish slapped onto s plate with some heated canned vegetables; so obviously I have nothing good to say about the presentation. Ditto the "service." My only advice is: SKIP. IT.

    I ordered Canadian fillet and they tried to give me the daily special which was baby flounder. I guess they just think some people are just stupid. Then instead of saying sorry will fix it. He says it is Canadian fillet he's been doing this for 35 years. So my answer is keep your rotten fish you tried to give me that had a real fishy taste and the money cause that's the last of my money you'll ever see from me. Why couldn't you just admit you where trying to pull one over on me. Tried to tell me the fish fell apart. I just can't believe these people.

    My husband and I went here for a late dinner. We went about an hour before closing. We should have taken it as a warning that the people behind us could not get the server's attention. It took several minutes for us to see our server. When she finally appeared we ordered. I settled on chicken tenders with salad and a baked potato. My husband had some fried seafood, salad, and potato wedges. The salad was pretty good. Only some of the dressings are homemade. The blue cheese is one that is not. The hush puppies were horrible. They were not hot and the oil must have not been hot enough because they were really oily. Our drinks kept going empty and we could not find our server. She mostly hung out in the back. There was a table near us and their server was right on top of things. I finally had to ask her to get our server for us. My husband was not very happy with his seafood he felt like a lot of it tasted frozen, but he loved the homemade potato wedges. My chicken tasted pretty blah and my potato was cold and looking at the way it was poked there was foil inside of the potato. We wanted more drinks and our check. Again our server was too busy to check on us. This time she was chit chatting with the hostess. We had to say something to get her to stop talking. She actually told us we should have thrown something at her to get her attention. In total we lost count of how many times our drinks went empty or we needed something and our server was not checking on us. We both left very disappointed about our food. My husband did not even bring some of his food home because it was so bad. Definitely won't be returning.
